Trattoria Altrove (Italian)

One of the best pizza places in El Nido, Altrove is often packed with people. Travelers rave about its brick-oven Italian pizzas which are all worth the waiting time. The restaurant serves delicious pastas and salads too. If you want to get a seat faster, do come in early or the queue will be long. Behind the restaurant there’s Altrove Express, where you can order pizza for take out.

Happiness Beach Bar (Israeli)

This one is a hipster restaurant with a happy twist. It serves healthy food, primed for vegetarians and vegans, and most are Mediterranean. Try the swings by the bar or just feel the happy vibe and well-selected music playlist. Some of the resto’s most loved dishes include the Happiness Salad, Pita Falafel, and Hummus Happiness. The food is just so good, some travelers even eat here everyday!

Ristorante La Lupa (Italian)

This newly opened restaurant is Italian-owned and imports its ingredients all the way from Italy. All food in the menu are homemade and prepared with care. Some of the most recommended include its brick-oven pizza pinsa with prosciutto, antipasto with salame and cheese, and gnocci with sausage ragu. The restaurant owner is usually around to make sure you have the best taste of Italy!

Osaka Castle (Japanese)

This authentic Japanese restaurant serves fresh fish flown in thrice a week from Japan. Unlike most Asian restaurants, this one doesn’t season its dishes with MSG yet surprisingly retains their flavorful appeal. Some of Osaka Castle’s recommended eats include salmon sushi, shrimp tempura, and miso soup. “Always fresh and tasty,” that’s what travelers say!

Bella Vita (Italian)

Here’s a chill spot that has a number of perks. The restaurant is along Corong-Corong Beach, facing a stunning view of Bacuit Bay and the sunset. It serves fire-baked Italian pizzas, European food, and well-prepared cocktails and smoothies. You can opt to stay by the beach or on the second floor; both are recommendable. Bella Vita also has great music and a homey, friendly ambiance. Above all, the food is affordable!

Big Bad Thai (Thai)

Here’s an Asian restaurant that serves traditional Thai dishes. It’s located on the second floor and has a great view of the bay. Although not as spicy as the usual Thai food, traditional dishes to try include Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and Massaman Curry. Their mango shake is a good choice too! Big Bad Thai has vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options as well.

Gandhi’s Revenge (Indian)

This roadside restaurant near Corong-Corong Beach is a breath of fresh air. Gandhi’s Revenge serves authentic Indian food that are all homemade and mouthwatering! The restaurant has a variety of curry dishes exploding with a medley of tastes and textures. The place is usually full of people between 6 pm and 8 pm, so you’d better come here earlier if you don’t want to wait in line. Don’t miss this!

Fat Choy Lio Beach (Chinese)

Here’s a seaside restaurant along a beautiful white cove in Lio, about 15 minutes north from the town proper. Fat Choy doesn’t fail to disappoint with its hot and flavorful Chinese and Taiwanese dishes! The restaurant can cater to various people who are looking for vegetarian, fish, seafood, or even meat. Must-tries in their menu include mapo tofu, beef fried rice, and ginger fish soup.

Outpost (American)

This beachfront restaurant often has a crowd of young backpackers. Though Outpost is more known for their badass chunky burgers and brick-oven pizzas, there are plenty of seafood items here like its hearty Crabby Patty or its tasty Spicy Crab. Everything is homemade and delicious! Outpost can get crowded by sunset time and that’s when the fun begins, lasting till late evening!

Botanica (European)

This is one of the best cafes in town if you’re looking for a place to just settle down and hangout. The yummiest food to try are their homemade cakes, ube latte, and flat white. They have European and vegetarian meals too. Every Wednesday between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm, Botanica hosts a Trivia Night where you can have fun and make friends with locals and travelers alike!
